Mission Statement
The Scuba Club’s mission is to provide fun, safe and inexpensive diving to Club members.
Usual Competitions / Activities
The club dives most weekends throughout the year and also conducts several dive trips away per semester.
Dive trip destinations include South Coast (Jervis Bay, Ulladulla, Montague Island Seal Diving) and North Coast (Nelson Bay, South West Rocks (Fish Rock), Wooli (North Solitary Islands).
The club is also a member of SCAN (Scuba Club Associations of NSW) and participates in lobbying government in environment issues affecting the diving industry such as the protection of grey nurse sharks which are an endangered species.
The club also participates annually in Clean Up Australia Day and the Wollongong City Council Rise & Shine (another clean up campaign).
Training
Rusties & Newbies Dives are held at the start of each semester
Boat Driver Knowledge days are held once per semester, Dive courses are conducted through local dive operators
