Ovals carpark (P7) closed on Tuesday 20th July

Due to the opening of the Illawarra Health and Medical Research Institute (IHMRI) on Tuesday 20th July, 2010 the Ovals Carpark will be closed to normal parking conditions.

Early morning patrons are encouraged to use the Hub parking (P6) or the Northern  carpark (P5).

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

URAC Team Member wins National U20 5km race

Kevin Batt, rising athletics star and URAC team member last night won the national under-20 5km title in a time of 14:34. Originally from the NSW Central Coast, Kevin relocated to Wollongong to train with one of Athletics Australia's most talented athletes in Ryan Gregson (ranked 1 in Australia for the 1500m).

Kevin's personal best for 5km is 14.04 and his national open ranking is 8th. Whilst his time last night wasn't close to his PB, he ran a very strategic race to win the title and ensure his place in the Australian Junior team for the IAAF World Junior Championships in Canada in July.
